This year in GAD we have learned a lot and it is hard to pick and choose which is more important than the others. The most valuable information however would have too be how to make games, or the basics anyway. You can go and study how to market and get your game known, but the earlier you start making games, the better you get at it when you can get into the market later in life. The thing that was hardest for me to understand was the history of games because it was so much to remember and frankly, it was a bit boring for my likes. In terms of curriculum, the class is fine how it is and it makes sense that the class progressed how it did. Lastly, this year in GAD has been a very enjoyable experience and I think that it has prepared me well for AGAD and I also think that as a person interested in the field of game design, it should be fun and invigorating.I think that Sci Vis has prepared me for some of what this year had brought. Some of the things that it helped me with was firstly, the work load. Secondly, the things that make this blog page look appealing enough where it's nice and i would come here even if i didn't have to make weekly submissions. Third, our work in 3DS and Photoshop helped a lot earlier in the year and even now on my own time. Last year gave me a very clear cut picture of what game design was and is meant to be and this shaped how i learned and the way I thought of things in the class like storyboards and things of that nature really were more deeply thought out then they could have. I honestly really enjoyed Sci Vis and i don't think that I would or would want too change the class because I think it thoroughly prepared me for this year. |
