In the past week of 3Ds Max I have learned how to use a handful of new things. I learned how to use mental ray, hair and fur, and cloth modifiers as well as how to use and edit dynamic objects. These things wen't hard looking back on it but there were some rough patches with a few of the modifiers. Firstly, the cloth modifier game me and my class a bit of trouble as the cloth would clip through objects, this was easily solved however by simply adding more vertices/faces. Another things that gave me trouble was working with dynamic objects and making them run smoothly. This was harder because you are given three types of dynamic objects and they don't always do what you need, so there is some doing on the users part. This was fun to work around though as it posed a new challenge even if I didn't know how to work around it at first. All in all this past week has been fun and as of yet my models are looking quite spiffy with their hair cut and shirts ironed. So far this year I have done a lot of things in AGAD. I have learned how to edit and add audio to videos with an some proficiency. I have relearned how to use 3Ds Max and how to model realistic cloth and add hair to models. I have also learned about marketing and other important information about the game industry. Personally I know I have a long way to go, but I also know that I am on my way even if it is a tad bit slow. I hope that I will continue to improve on my skills and I hope that I will end up in the game industry. On Monday (2/20/2017) the class will be moving into unity and I am very exited for it! I am expecting a challenge and it exhilarates me. After using Game Maker I am looking forward to see the difference in the two programs. I am hoping that it isn't too difficult though but also I want it to challenge me and make me grow as a future game designer. I think that it will be a good experience for me and the class. |
